Changing a Username
To sign in, you'll need a username and password. We recommend you keep the username that you supplied when initially registering as a Corbis member. However, you can change your username by completing the following steps:

1. 1. Click My Account.
2. 2. The display defaults to Profiles & Preferences.
3. 3. Under Sign In & Personal Information, select Edit.
4. 4. Replace your existing Username by typing in a new one.
5. 5. Click Save.

Changing a Password
You can change your password at any time after signing in by completing the following steps:

1. 1. Click My Account.
2. 2. The display defaults to Profiles & Preferences.
3. 3. Under Sign In & Personal Information, select I want to change my password.
4. 4. Type in your Current Password.
5. 5. Type in your New Password (a minimum of 8 letters and numbers is required).
6. 6. Confirm your New Password and click Save.

To change your account information, sign in using your username and password. You can then update your Personal, Business, Payment, Shipping, or Preferences information by completing the following steps:

1. 1. Click My Account.
2. The display defaults to Profiles & Preferences.
3. 2. You can select any of these options: Personal Information, Business Information, Payment Information, or Preferences. (“Preferences” is where you choose your preferred method of payment and communication from Corbis.)
4. 3. After selecting the category you want, select Edit
5. 4. Click Save.

To update your credit or debit card information, sign in using your username and password. You can then update your Payment or Preferences information by completing the following steps:

1. 1. Click My Account.
2. 2. The display defaults to Profiles & Preferences.
3. 3. Select Payment Information

To ADD a new card: click I want to add a new card. To EDIT an existing card: click Edit next to the card you wish to update. To DELETE a card on file with Corbis: click the X next to the card you wish to delete and then click Delete.

To apply for credit, sign in using your username and password, and then completing the following steps:

1. 1. Click My Account.
2. 2. The display defaults to Profiles & Preference.
3. 3. Select Apply for Credit in the upper right corner.
4. 4. Click on the appropriate Word or PDF version of the application for your region.
5. 5. Print the application, fill it out, and fax it to the number provided.

Registered members of Corbis can work with lightboxes to save and transfer images online. If you are new to Corbis, or beginning a large project, the information below will help you get started.

You can create a new lightbox in five ways:

1. 1. From search results: Click the light bulb icon below the thumbnail you wish to save to a lightbox. If a lightbox does not exist, a pop-up window will appear where you will click Create new lightbox. Name the lightbox and click Add to new lightbox.
2. 2. From the REFINE search pane: Click the light bulb icon, then select Create new lightbox. A pop-up window will appear where you will name the lightbox and click Save.
3. 3. From Image Enlargement: Click the light bulb icon. A pop-up window will appear where you will click Create new lightbox. Name the lightbox and click Add to new lightbox.
4. 4. From Price Calculator: Click the light bulb icon. A pop-up window will appear where you will click Create new lightbox. Name the lightbox and click Add to new lightbox.
5. 5. From My Lightboxes: At the top of any page, click My Lightboxes to be taken to your saved lightboxes. At the top of your lightbox window, click Create new lightbox.

The creator of a new lightbox is automatically the lightbox owner and controls access until it is transferred. You can add additional lightboxes and nest lightboxes in hierarchical order, as required.

If you are signed in as a registered member, you may find that you have several lightboxes saved. The last lightbox you use becomes your active lightbox, and any images that you Add to lightbox will be sent to that lightbox by default.

1. 1. To access your lightboxes, click the My Lightboxes at the top of any page.
2. 2. Highlight any of your lightboxes by clicking on a lightbox in the list on the left.
3. 3. Click Move and then select a lightbox (“parent”) to contain the original lightbox (“child”).

Note: The “child” lightbox will be nested beneath the “parent” lightbox. You are limited to a maximum of four children beneath any one parent lightbox.

If you are signed in as a registered member, you may find that you have several lightboxes saved. The last lightbox you use becomes your active lightbox, and any images that you Add to lightbox will be sent to that lightbox by default.

To change the lightbox where an image will be saved, follow these instructions:

From the REFINE search pane:

1. 1. To access your lightboxes, click the lightbox tab on the REFINE Search pane.
2. 2. After selecting the lightbox where you’d like to save the image, click the light bulb icon below the thumbnail you wish to save to a lightbox.

From the Image Enlargement page:

1. 1. Click on the light bulb icon and a pop-up window will appear where you can either select to Add to lightbox or Create new lightbox.
2. 2. After selecting either Add or Add to new lightbox as the lightbox where you’d like to save the image, the selected lightbox becomes your active lightbox.

From My Lightboxes:

1. 1. To access your lightboxes, click My Lightboxes to be taken to your saved lightboxes, at the top of any page.
2. 2. Clicking to view any lightbox on your left will make it the Active lightbox.

The creator of a new lightbox is automatically the lightbox owner and controls access until it is transferred. You can transfer ownership to a Corbis member so they can manage the contents of the lightbox.

1. 1. Click My Lightboxes and then select the lightbox that you wish to transfer ownership.
2. 2. Click Transfer and select the new owner's username from the Corbis members list box.
   -or-
   Type the new owner's username in the Add a Corbis member field.
3. 3. If you want to remove this lightbox from your list, check the box next to “Remove from My Lightboxes”.
4. 4. Then click Transfer.

To purchase images, you must be a registered Corbis member and have a method of payment on file in My Account.

In order to purchase Rights Managed (RM) images online, you must complete the following:

• Enter the License Details for each image to get a price.
• Save priced images to a lightbox or cart.

If any selected images are NOT available for pricing:

A Contact link will be displayed which requests an Account Executive (A.E.) to:

• Review the requested images.
• Set the price online prior to purchasing.
• Handle any restriction issues or approvals.

NEW Content Licensing Terms from Corbis
Please review the new Corbis Content License Agreement, which is applicable to your order.

You can add items to your cart from a lightbox or from search results at any time. Plus, you may store these items in your cart between visits -- you don’t have to buy everything at one time.

Note: You must price images to purchase them.

1. 1. When you are ready to purchase images, select the image(s) in your cart that you want to purchase.
2. 2. Instructions on the site will walk you through the purchasing process.
3. 3. At every step you will be given the option to abandon the purchase procedure and return you to your cart.
4. 4. You will be prompted to enter project details, and select the delivery method and payment method.
5. 5. Agree to the General Terms and Conditions and click Submit Order.
6. 6. Remember to note your Order Number for future reference.

Note about prices:
Prices may change between the time you place an item your cart/lightbox and the time you purchase it. Items in your cart/lightbox will display the price calculated when you last entered your License Details. Placing a priced item in your cart/lightbox does not reserve the price shown at that time. For more information about purchasing images, including image restrictions and licensing details, contact your Corbis Representative.

Many Corbis images carry restrictions on their use. Image restrictions are varied; they can range from “must have source approval before licensing” to "no print use allowed.”

For each image that carries one or more restrictions, all applicable restrictions are listed on the Image Detail page. You should review the restrictions associated with specific images prior to purchasing image licenses.

The full list of image restrictions is too large to include here. To obtain more information, please contact your Corbis Representative.

Content available from Corbis is generally Rights Managed or Royalty-Free.

Rights Managed (RM): Rights and fees will be calculated for each project depending on how you plan to use the image.

Royalty-Free (RF): For a one-time flat fee, images can be used an unlimited number of times in multiple projects.

After you have purchased licenses for one or more images, follow these instructions to download your order from our site.

Note: You must be logged in to download licensed images.

• Click My Orders and locate the desired image order.
• Find the image that you want to download and select the desired image resolution from the drop down box.
• Click the Download button. (To download all images within an order, click the Download All button.)
• When the Downloading Images dialog box appears, click on the image file(s) that you want to download.
• Choose "Save As" and select the desired location for the saved (downloaded) image.

File Compression Utilities
To facilitate downloading, image files are compressed. You will need a compression utility, such as WinZip or StuffIt, to open the Corbis file.

Under certain specific terms and conditions, it is possible to cancel (or, “kill”) a license for an image after a purchase has been made. Canceling a license incurs a cancellation fee (or, a “kill fee”), plus any applicable processing, production, and/or services charges.

• If the cancellation notice is received more than seven (7) but less than thirty (30) business days after the invoice date, a cancellation fee equal to fifty (50%) percent of the amount of the Invoice will be charged.
• AFTER THIRTY DAYS, NO CANCELLATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AND THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE INVOICE MUST BE PAID.

For any cancellations, you must also pay the full service charge, production fee, processing and handling fee, and shipping fee. No license to use the image will be granted upon cancellation; all cancellations are final.
