Iran's President Mohammad Khatami welcomes Britain's Prince Charles in the presidential palace in Tehran. Britain's Prince Charles met with President Mohammad Khatami and discussed the situation in the quake devastated city of Bam in southeast Iran. It was the first meeting between a British royal family member and an official of the Islamic Republic. Both sides stressed the meeting and the visit were strictly humanitarian and not political.
