Reflecting Pools "Reflecting Absence" Design for World Trade Center Site
A design called "Reflecting Absence" by architect Michael Arad of New York City, shown here in an undated artist's rendering, has been selected as the winning memorial design for the World Trade Center reconstruction project. The design, which was selected from among 5,201 submissions, features two reflecting pools of water on the footprints of the twin towers.
