The 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 was part of the fourth generation (or "C4") of Corvettes. Instead of fiberglass, the C4's were made from reaction injected molding plastics, a sheet molding compound. This particular 'Vette is the coveted ZR-1, which has a special, all-aluminum 350-ci LT5 V8 engine. This "Super Corvette" went from 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds and was rated at 375 horsepower. It was available only as a coupe, and had a wider tail section and wheels than the standard version.
