USA - Ground Zero - Human Remains

A woman walks past a plaque showing some of the names of the 2,749 people killed on 11 September 2001 at ground zero in New York on October 23, 2006. Over the past few days, workers have discovered 114 bones of victims of the terrorist attacks, leading to a renewed search for more remains. Families of victims have called on construction to stop at the site, but New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has said that the construction would continue, as will the recovery effort.
