Senator Arlen Specter (R-Pennsylvania) discusses the prinicipal of executive privilege during a news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. President George W. Bush invoked executive privilege when he refused to answer U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee subpoenas for documents relating to the firing of U.S. attorneys.
