White and Black Students Stand in Line at the Public Library
Both white and black students stood in line together here this PM at the Public Library after the board of trustees and city government ordered the library to re-open at 9am today to "any citizen" with a legitimate need. The city police recently arrested seven Negroes at the library. Last week Federal Judge C.C. Wyche dismissed a defendant's case against the library and in turn the city pressed its case against the demonstrators.
