Construction is seen around the foundation of the Freedom Towers at the World Trade Center site in New York September 10, 2007. Ever since the September 11, 2001 attacks destroyed the Twin Towers, the question arose as to what would replace them. Renderings and models of the new plan have since been released, but now the public can see concrete progress taking place around a sea of cranes in Lower Manhattan.
