Carrying signs, pickets demonstrate in front of the new office of the New England Tourist Bureau at Rockefeller Center, May 10th. The pickets were protesting the imprisonment of Willard Uphaus, who has been in Jail in New Hampshire for months on a contempt of court arrest stemming from his failure to turn over to a court a list of names of those attending a pacifist meeting. New Hampshire Governor Wesley Powell was on hand for the opening of the tourist office, and the pickets planned to ask him for clemency for Uphaus.
