The Fall of the Berlin Wall

The Fall of the Berlin Wall

November 12th, three days after the opening, a spectacular action was organized at the Postdamer Platz to lift and evacuate several wall segments in order to create a wide gate, immediately used by the citizens of East, flooding to the West. Thousands of international reporters and Berliners witnessed this historical moment of reunification. The victory symbol held by the men standing at the edge of the wall, together with Berliners spontaneously riding astride, best illustrates the peaceful victory over the 28 years of the wall's existence.
