New York City fire Chief Salvatore Cassano kisses the hand of Pope Benedict XVI as he visits ground zero, the site of the collapse of the World Trade Center in New York. The Pope met with survivors and relatives of victims of the World Trade Center attacks as well as first responders at the site of the 11 September 2001 attacks. Pope Benedict XVI is on his last day of his visit to to New York.
