South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius is pictured at a press conference in Berlin, Germany. Thanks to two flexible carbon prostheses instead of his lower legs, Pistorius is nearly as fast as athletes without handicap and holds the world records for all distances from 100 to 400 metres. Pistorius still hopes to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
