U.S. plans to launch "Moon" in December

President Eisenhower wags a finger at newsmen as he told his press conference that the United States plans to launch a lightweight pilot satellite into space in December. He said that later a larger sphere containing elaborate recording instruments will provide more scientific information than Russia's Sputnik I, if it is successful. The President told the newsmen that his apprehension about American security was not raised one iota by the Soviet achievement.
