Nighttime View of Cerro Paine Grande in Chilean Patagonia
Original caption: The summit of Cerro Paine Grande is one of the most inhospitable places on the planet. The mountain's close proximity to large masses of ice and the storm hurling south seas makes this summit the home of incredible winds and cold. While the mountain is frequently shrouded in clouds and mist, conditions can be clear enough for a moonlit view.
