Emergency area for children consulting for H1N1 flu at Robert Debre Hospital in Paris

The French Government is drawing criticism from different quarters who are claiming that the campaign against the influenza has, with 94 million vaccines ordered firm at a cost of 871 million euros, lacks transparency, has a disproportionate influence by the manufacturing laboratories or bad preparation for it in the hospitals. According to the French newspaper Le Parisien the group of appraise and information on the influenza (Geig), which advises the ministry for Health on a regular basis, 'is financed at 100 per cent by the vaccine producing laboratories against the influenza'.
