Painting of a farming scene from the Tomb of Nakht
Detail of a painting from the Tomb of Nakht, Astronomer of Amun, TT 52 in the Tombs of the Nobles at Thebes. Agricultural scenes were the most important scenes depicted on the walls of the nobles' tombs of the New Kingdom. Here, we see ploughing the land and sowing the wheat harvest, as well as fill.
