Top view of a polychrome glass kohl holder from the New Kingdom, which was found in 1897. It was designed to keep kohl, a substance that was used to decorate and protect the eyes. The container has a shape of a palm column consisting of nine palm stems. It is made of glass with decorative elements and was formed around a clay core which was removed after the glass cooled.
