Detail of the Ceremonial dagger from the tomb of King Tutankhamun

Ceremonial dagger from the tomb of King Tutankhamun. The haft of this dagger is adorned with King's name inside a golden cartouche, surrounded by lotus flowers symbolizing rebirth. Hilt of the dagger is decorated with granulation and cloisonne in geometric and floral patterns inlaid in gold, red and blue. The golden blade itself is engraved on both sides with floral and diamond motifs, the sheath is adorned with a pattern of scales and a stylized hunting scene. On top of the pommel are the king's cartouches surrounded by a ring of stylized lilies.
