Grey granite block statue of Yamunedjeh, Eighteenth Dynasty during the reign of Tuthmosis III, from Qurna. Block statues appeared at the beginning of the Middle Kingdom and were popular in the New Kingdom and late Period. In all the block statues, hieroglyphic inscription where carved on the surface giving the owner's titles and urging visitors to pray for the owner in the temples.
