Detail of a painting in the Tomb of Khaemwaset, QV 44 in the Valley of the Queens at Thebes. The tomb of Khaemwaset, the eldest son of Ramesses III, was discovered in February 1903. The walls are covered with magnificent scenes of the prince and his royal father. The young prince Khaemwaset appears in each scene with the side-lock hairstyle of youth.
