Painting of Ramesses III from the Tomb of Khaemwaset
Detail of a painting in the Tomb of Khaemwaset, QV 44 in the Valley of the Queens at Thebes. Ramesses III, is depicted alone, without his son, in many scenes in Khaemwaset's burial chamber. The King also appears many times with his son Khaemwaset in the corridor, probably because the young prince still needed his father's support to successfully complete his journey to the Afterlife.
