Priest statuette from the Twentieth Dynasty found in Saqqara
Small standing statuette (18.5 cm) of a priest from the Twentieth Dynasty found in Saqqara in 1872. The priest's ceremonial dress consists of a large garment with a large central flap. Each part of this statuette was carved separately and the pieces were then put together. The hole in his left hand indicates that the priest held a scepter, and some remains of a black paint survived around his eyes.
