Engraved ivory castanets from King Tutankhamun's tomb

Many musical instruments were found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun. This pair of castanets was made of ivory in shape of human arms wearing bracelets. The inscription gives the names of Queen Tiy and Princess Meritaten, who was the sister of Tutankhamun's wife. The castanets represented a very popular musical instrument in ancient Egypt.
