This game was known in ancient Egypt as Senet. It was depicted on the walls of tombs during the New Kingdom because of its link to Chapter 17 of the Book of the Dead. A game for two players on a rectangular board of 30 squares. In modern Egypt the game is still played and is known as Dama. This piece belonged to the wife of Sennedjem's son, Aset, and was found in the tomb of Sennedjem.
