This huge statue (249 cm) made of pink quartzite was found in the Luxor cachet in 1989. The statue represents the King Amenhotep III standing on a sledge, wearing the double crown of 'Both Lands'. The king is depicted as a young man. The back of the statue suffered damage during the reign of Akhenaten who ordered the name of god Amun be removed from all monuments.
