Indonesia - Religion - Islam in Jakarta

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world so it is not surprising that the country is home to thousands of mosques including Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque, Southeast Asia's largest where thousands of worshipers pray. Ramadan, the islamic holy month, was celebrated this year between 22nd August to 20th September, ending with Idul Fitri which marks the end of Ramadan. Women and men worshippers pray seperately.
