Detail of painting from the Tomb of Seti I, KV 17 in the Valley of the Kings at Thebes. Many books of the netherworld were copied onto the walls of the tomb of King Seti I, including the Book of the Gates. This Book is depicted on the walls in the two great pillared halls. This detail refers to one of the six hours of the night, which deal with the judgment of the deceased and his journey through the netherworld. We can also see the mummies of the dead.
