Detail of a painting from the Tomb of Kha, Chief in the Great Place, TT 8 in the Tombs of the Nobles at Thebes. When Ernesto Schiaparelli found the tomb of Kha in 1906, it was intact. Inside he found 196 artefacts. Kha was an important inspector at Deir El-Medina and he was responsible for projects constructed during the reigns of three Kings: Amenhotep II, Thutmose IV and Amenhotep III.
