Alabaster canopic shrine from tomb of Tutankhamun

The canopic shrine had no bottom and inside it atop a smaller sledge with silver coated runners stood a chest carved from a single block of calcite, the lid of the chest echoes the sloping per wer roof of the outer shrine and canopy, while its sides are inclined and are decorated at their corners with carved images of the same four protective goddesses who stood on each side of the canopic shrine. | Located in: Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
