Lotus-shaped alabaster lamp from tomb of Tutankhamun
This lamp takes the form of a tall lotus-shaped globet attached to a stand. The globet is flanked by openwork figures of the god Heh gripping ankh signs and notched palm ribs, signifying millions of years of life. The design is painted on a thin slab of calcite that fits into its interior. It shows the king seated on a chair and his wife Ankhsenamun. | Located in: Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
