Pectoral with solar/lunar emblem and winged scarab

The solar scarab is made of green chalcedony and has been provided with wings, its hind legs clutch shen rings and bundles of plants, with its forelegs it pushes a sky bark bearing a wedjat above which is a lunar crescent of gold and a full moon disk of silver. Three golden figures have been soldered onto the moon: the king with Thoth as an ibis behind him and Re-Horakhty before him. Uraei flank various parts of the design and an elaborate floral band hangs below the scarab. | Located in: Egyptian Museum, Cairo.
