24 hours after the earthquake hit the island of Haiti, rescuers arrive in aid of the victims. A survivor walks away from the rubble where he has been trapped for 30 hours. A magnitude 7.0 quake hit impoverished Haiti on Tuesday January 12, toppling buildings in the capital Port-au-Prince and burying residents in rubble.
