Mexico - Crime - Campos Ordinola family leaves Ciudad Juarez
Drug-related violence and deaths have given Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico the dubious title of the world's most violent city. During the boom days of the city's maquila or factory industry, the southern Mexican state of Veracruz sent thousands of workers to plants that make electronics and automobile components for export in Juarez. The state government now is attempting to help these same workers to return to the state and escape the deadly situation in Juarez. After eight years there, the Campos Ordinola family is fleeing Juarez. Mauricio Campos, 25, Guadalupe Ordinola, 26, and their three children, Luis, 8, Edwin, 4 and Angel, 2, are returning to their hometown of Tres Valles, Veracruz. A group of three families who are returning to Veracruz meet on the outskirts of Juarez to begin the journey.
