USA - Deepwater Horizon Disaster - More Oil Washes up on Grand Isle
Baby tern stuck in an oil patch on Grand Isle beach rescued by Chris Hernandaz the Street Superintendent of Grand Isle. The beaches of Grand Isle were cleaned two days before President Obama's visit: however, the oil returned and the workers that were around for the presidential visit were much fewer. Witnesses say that private contractors hired by BP, have been taking more breaks then they work, as more oil washes a shore. Day 46 after the BP oil leak began, the negative effects of the spill are playing out as a worst case scenario. The oil has contaminated the marshes and washed up on the shores of bird estuaries.
