Kyrgyzstan - Ethnic Violence Kills Hundreds in Osh

Mavluda Junbayeva (R), and her coworker who are both ethnic Uzbek's, and operate a flat bed store in the Osh market react to the sound of gunfire nearby their store in the Osh market. They returned Thursday to check on their shop in the market, which was heavily damaged and looted in last weeks violence by mobs who's motivations were more greed than ethnic hatred. Before the riots, Kyrgyz and Uzbek merchants had sold their wares side by side...With calm still holding in the city of Osh, Uzbek residents were continuing to burry remains of those killed last week that had been unreachable due to danger in the areas where they had died..
