Kerviel was sentenced to five years in prison, 3 firm, for covert stock trades that the bank says cost it almost five billion euros. The Court found Kerviel guilty for breach of trust, and sentenced him to three years in jail plus two years suspended and also to pay his Societe Generale damages of 4.9 billion euros for the massive fraud scandal.
