Bhutan - The Great Experiment

Namgay Wangchuk, 19, from Punakha, walks through the courtyard of a dzong, a typical fortress-style Bhutanese building that can be found in every main city, in Thimphu, Thimphu District, Bhutan on April 21, 2007. Namgay has been monk for seven years and has been studying in the monastery housed in the Thimpu Dzong. The dzongs are typically split between government officials and a monastery, housing the governmental and religious authorities in one location.
