Pakistan - Swat - Internally Displaced People

Thousands of internally displaced people, IDPs, from Mingora and Buner live in a temporary camp in Marden, North West Frontier Province, Pakistan on May 8, 2009. Since the Pakistani government launched a military and bombing offensive against the Taliban around Swat and the Tribal Areas, the United Nations High Commission for Refugees estimates that between 150,000 to 200,000 people have already fled their homes, and another few hundred thousand are expected to. | Location: Marden, North West Frontier Province, Pakistan.
