German Giant Rabbit celebrates Spring Festival in Chongqing
Local Chinese residents take photos of the German giant rabbit Herman being displayed to celebrate the upcoming Speing Festival, also known as the Year of the Rabbit, at a shopping mall in Chongqing, China, 27 January 2011. Herman is a German Giant Rabbit. The German Giant, breaking the Guinness World record, is a new breed of rabbit that was bred in order to produce a rabbit that could provide more meat. Herman weighs an astounding 7.7 kilograms or 17 pounds and is just under a meter long with ears alone measuring at 21 centimeters which is the total height of an average domestic rabbit.
