2011 TED prize recipient JR, a street artist from Paris, is placing several of his artworks through out Los Angeles this month. Most of his works are of giant faces or human eyeballs. JR rarely shows his face in public, hoping to remain anonymous. He also never explains the meaning of his artwork, preferring the viewer to connect with the work on their own terms. This piece is on the side of the L.A. downtown MOCA bldg.
