Every day tens of thousands people sort through garbage to fish out thrown-away plastic bottles. The rapid increase in plastic prices has driven the demand for used PET bottles to new heights. The boom has many causes and the global penetration of PET bottles is just one of many. Four-fifths of the PET bottles are processed into fibers.
