Apple iPhone 4S goes on sale in China

Chinese customers try out iPhone 4S smartphones at an Apple authorized store in Shenyang city, northeast Chinas Liaoning province, 13 January 2012. The Apple iPhone 4S smartphone went on sale in China and 21 other countries Friday (13 January 2011). Thousands of people including groups of scalpers stayed up overnight outside the Apple Stores in Beijing and Shanghai to buy the long-awaited handset though its Chinese mainland debut is three months later than the US kick-off in October.
