Golden dragon erected to celebrate Chinese New Year in Shanghai

A golden dragon comprising over 2,000 squamae, each of which bears dragon-shaped texture, was recently erected at the Xintiandi Style shopping mall to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival or the Chinese Lunar New Year in Xintiandi, a tourist attraction complex in Shanghai. The Chinese Lunar New Year begins on January 23 and marks the start of the Year of the Dragon, according to the Chinese zodiac.
