Maine's largest ever lobster is 27lb Rocky.

Now that is a lobster! Here is the biggest ever lobster caught in Maine - a 27lb whopper named Rocky. The one-meter long crustacean, roughly the size of a three year-old child, was caught in a shrimp net in the Atlantic Ocean. Rocky was taken in by the Maine State Aquarium before being released back into the cold waters off Maine. Maine is famed for its lobsters with more than 100m lbs caught last year alone. The world record lobster was a 44lb one caught near Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1977. Pictured: Rocky
