(120406) -- CAIRO, April 6, 2012 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of supporters of presidential candidate Hazem Salah Abu-Ismail demonstrate against the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) and the United States after an official source at the Ministry of Interior announced last week that the candidate's mother holds U.S. citizenship, while the Egyptian law prohibits Egyptian citizens to run for president if they have both or one of the parents holding dual citizenship or having another nationality, in Cairo, Egypt, April 6, 2011. Demonstrators claim that the SCAF forged Hazem Salah Abu-Ismail's mother's nationality and Abu-Ismael said that his mother is holding only the Egyptian nationality and the SCAF and the United States does not want him to win the presidency.
