Opening of the State Garden Show Bamberg 2012

Colourful garden gnomes are on display during the opening of the state garden show on the island Erba in Bamberg, Germany, 26 April 2012. Around 400 trees, 5,500 bushes, 50,000 shrubs 60,000 spring flowers and 255,000 flower bulbs were planted in order to turn an old inddustrial area between Regnitz and Main-Donau-Channel into a green island.
