Cocullo, Italy. 1st May 2012 -- A statue of Saint Domenico surrounded by snakes is held up during an annual procession dedicated to the saint, in the streets of Cocullo, in the Abruzzo region. -- The St. Domenico's procession in Cocullo, central Italy, is held every year on the first day of May. Snakes are placed onto the statue of St. Domenico and then the statue is carried in a procession through the town.
