ARGENTINA-BUENOS AIRES-BABY THEFT-SENTENCE

(120706) -- BUENOS AIRES, July 6, 2012 (Xinhua) -- Argentine people hold banners with portrait of a stolen baby to take part in a protest against the former dictators' baby theft outside a court in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, on July 5, 2012. Former Argentine dictator Jorge Rafael Videla was convicted and sentenced to 50 years Thursday for a systematic plan to steal babies from prisoners during the 1976-1982 Dirty War. Another dictator, Reynaldo Bignone, also was convicted and got 15 years. Videla and Bignone have already got life sentences for other crimes against humanity. (Xinhua/Telam) (jl)
