(120718) -- LHASA, July 18, 2012 (Xinhua) -- Photo taken on July 16, 2012 shows the grass square under construction on the north bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Grass square is used to fix sand dunes by placing wood in the sand and then planting grass in the square. The area of desertified land on the north bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River has decreased and the environment has been improved after years of green planting and desertification control.
