Jordan on Sunday opened its first camp for Syrian refugees, the state-run Petra news agency reported. The Zaatari camp, a tented facility located in the northern governorate of Mafraq, can host about 9,000 Syrian refugees in the first phase, the report said, citing Minister of Interior Ghaleb Zu'bi.
